Turntables - Simplified

Tutorial / 25 January 2024

In Maya, a turntable is like a platform where you put your 3D toys or objects. This platform can spin around, and when it does, you can see your toys from all sides, just like when you spin a toy on a merry-go-round. It helps you look at your 3D creations from every angle to make sure they look just right!

3 Point Lighting - Simplified

Tutorial / 24 January 2024

Imagine you have three special friends called "lights," and they help make your favorite toys look amazing!

  1. Mr. Bright Light: The first friend is super bright, like the sun on a sunny day. He stands in front of your toy and makes it really bright, so you can see everything clearly. We call him the "Key Light" because he's the most important.

  2. Shy Side Light: The second friend is a bit shy and stands on one side of your toy. He adds a little bit of light to the side, so you can see some details and shadows. We call him the "Fill Light" because he fills in the shadows.

  3. Mystery Back Light: The third friend is a mystery friend who hides behind your toy. He shines light on the back of your toy, making it stand out from the background. We call him the "Back Light" or "Rim Light" because he makes your toy look 3D.

So, these three special friends work together to make your toy look super cool with just the right amount of light, shadows, and depth. They make your toy look like a superstar in a movie or a picture! 🌟💡🎥
